DESCRIPTION

Louisville Grows and Kentucky State University present the October Urban Growers Series: Beekeeping and Mushrooms!

Ms. Laura Rogers, KSU Area Agent, will be teaching beekeeping for beginners.

Mr. Donald Jackson, KSU Research Assistant, will instruct on growing edible mushroom cultures using straw. Participants will learn how to buy, prepare, and mix mushroom spawn, and then practice inoculating mushrooms that will remain at Louisville Grows.

Wednesday, October 19 from 5pm-7pm at Youthbuild (800 South Preston St).

All levels of experience welcome, and light snacks will be provided. Donations accepted via eventbrite or at the door. If you have any questions, please contact whitney@louisvillegrows.org.
