THE WORKSHOPS

PLANTING – Spend time with two of the first American farmers to grow hemp again, Rick Trojan and Mike Lewis, for a practical demonstration and discussion on the planting and cultivation of this historic crop.

PAPER MAKING – Elishewa Shalom, founder of Artisan Hemp, will lead a comprehensive demonstration on the process of making hemp paper. She will offer insight into best practices and the diversity of hemp fibers used.

BUILDING – Learn tips and techniques Leif Erickson has developed over the years of building structures with hemp. This workshop is practical, not technical – be prepared to get your hands dirty!

DISTILLING – The beauty of scent and medicinal properties of plants have been linked through the centuries. There are multiple ways for accessing the aromatic oils from plant material, This workshop will include a discussion of the equipment used and the traditional distillation process.

LIGHTING – Sunlight Supply is the largest and most experienced supplier of horticulture, organics, hydroponics, and lighting supplies – learn more from their team about the lighting required to grow a successful hemp crop indoors.
